Baton Rouge, LA  – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) is proud to announce its successful reaccreditation, highlighting its commitment to providing high-quality business counseling and technical assistance to small businesses statewide. This achievement marks a significant milestone following the program’s transition to LSU as its new host institution.

Reaccreditation is a rigorous evaluation process conducted under the oversight of America’s SBDC, in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Based on the prestigious Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, the process evaluates SBDCs on six key standards, including staff qualifications, service delivery methods, client satisfaction, and overall program effectiveness. Accreditation, which is renewed every five years, ensures that SBDCs nationwide maintain a consistent standard of excellence in their services.

“Achieving reaccreditation is a testament to our team’s dedication and the strength of our partnerships with key stakeholders,” said Bryan Greenwood, LSBDC State Director. “This recognition validates our efforts to deliver the highest level of service to Louisiana’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. With LSU as our host institution, we are excited to build on this momentum and continue fostering economic growth across the state.”

Accreditation not only demonstrates the LSBDC’s commitment to professionalism and excellence but also enhances the program's credibility among stakeholders, clients, and resource partners. It underscores the program’s ability to support the small business community, by creating jobs and the overall vitality of Louisiana.

Since 1983, the LSBDC has been a vital resource for entrepreneurs, offering business counseling, training, and access to resources that empower small businesses to thrive. Reaccreditation signals a renewed dedication to these goals under the leadership and support of LSU.
